Florida Health Choices launches digital tool to help businesses find their way through health care reform
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Businesses across Florida struggle to find their place in the changing health care landscape. Florida Health Choices (FHC) is stepping up to help them find the right path.
Located at www.fhc.changem.com, the “Pathfinder Compass” walks users through a series of questions that help determine eligibility and available options for small business owners shopping for health insurance. Currently focused on businesses, FHC plans to expand the tool in the future to help individuals navigate the complexities of the insurance market.
FHC CEO Rose Naff has been speaking to associations and business organizations around the state to help their members understand the new requirements. The new digital tool is intended to act as a “compass” for small business owners who may be “lost” while searching for health care plans for their employees and need guidance toward the best options for their business.
The “Pathfinder Compass” is one more way that Florida Health Choices is helping Floridians prepare for federal health care reform. The opportunity for information gathering and decision-making is now, before the first open enrollment periods begin October 1, 2013 when the federal government launches an insurance exchange for individuals and businesses in Florida.
The Health Insurance Marketplace and Florida Health Choices, Inc. were established by the Florida Legislature to provide improved access to affordable, quality health care for residents statewide. For more information, visit www.fhc.changem.com.
